As part of our commitment to responsible gambling and to comply with the Gambling Commission, please confirm your age as you need to be 16 years and over to enter our lottery.
The draw takes place every week and there can be 4 or 5 draws per month depending on where the dates fall within a calendar month. If you do not have enough credit at the time of a draw, your number will not be entered.
To help prevent you missing out on any draws in a 5 week month we take an extra £0.34 per entry each month. This extra 34p per entry is built up to a full £1 to cover instances when there are 5 draws in a month.
Paying by a credit card may incur a fee charged by your issuing card provider as the purchase of lottery or raffle tickets is classed as Gambling.
This fee will vary depending on your provider and will probably be described as a cash advance on your statement. However not all providers do make a charge and therefore you should check with your card provider's terms and conditions, or alternatively pay by debit card.
Results for the Sue Ryder lottery are drawn every Friday using a random number generator, allocating one prize for each lucky number drawn. Prizes are distributed to the winners by means of Cheque or Prize Entry letter for subscribed players. For players who buy tickets in our charity shops, prizes up to £10 can be claimed in cash, with higher prizes paid by cheque. People playing our lottery must be aged 16 years or over.
Whilst the odds of winning a prize fluctuate depending on the number of players in our draw, for the draw dated 07/01/2022 players had a 1 in 146 chance of winning a prize in the weekly lottery draw.
In 2021 Sue Ryder received £2,333,815 in lottery sales. After paying out prize money and running costs, Sue Ryder received £1,990,244 (85.28%) in donations from every £1 ticket in our lottery, 6.67% was spent on prizes and 8.05% on expenses.
